Real Madrid Clinches Victory in Cádiz

Real Madrid made a triumphant return following the international break, securing another win that sees them perched atop La Liga, pending Girona’s result against Athletic Club. The team showcased dominance in Cádiz, exhibiting a formidable offensive display alongside a resilient defensive performance.

Rodrygo emerged as the hero, netting two crucial goals flanking halftime, solidifying Ancelotti’s squad’s control. Bellingham added the final flourish with a left-footed strike, further emphasizing his prowess in the league with an impressive tally of 11 goals.

The match burst into life from the outset, witnessing both teams relentlessly attacking each other’s penalty areas. The initial opportunity came for Real Madrid within minutes, as Carvajal’s cross created chaos, nearly surprising Ledesma after striking Chris Ramos. Cádiz responded with close attempts from Chris Ramos and Navarro in the 11th and 13th minutes, respectively.

The game’s tempo escalated as Rodrygo stunned with a brilliant goal, maneuvering past defenders before rifling a right-footed shot into the top corner, granting Real Madrid the lead. Despite further threatening moves, including a Modrić cross, the team couldn’t extend their advantage.

The intensity waned as halftime approached, marked by occasional chances, notably Lunin’s save from Roger’s strike and R. Alcaraz’s goal-line clearance of Kroos’s effort.

After the break, Rodrygo missed an opportunity to widen the lead, unable to convert a one-on-one chance. Madrid’s persistence nearly paid off when Modrić’s powerful shot struck the post. However, Rodrygo swiftly secured his brace, skillfully finishing a swift counter-attack, leaving defenders behind to notch the second goal.

The team’s commanding performance led to Ancelotti substituting Modrić to a standing ovation, introducing Ceballos, who returned from injury. The match saw its climax as Bellingham struck the third goal, courtesy of Rodrygo’s assist, sealing a remarkable victory. Academy product Gonzalo made his debut amidst Lunin’s standout performance in stoppage time, denying Ocampo’s close-range attempt.

Real Madrid’s dominant display in Cádiz showcased their strength both defensively and offensively, propelling them to a well-deserved triumph.
