Bill Goldberg said that he has unfinished business with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns when he appeared on WWE’s The Bump yesterday, to promote his new WWE Untold documentary.
Goldberg dropped the bomb when Kayla Braxton asked him about his appearance in the WWE ThunderDome crowd back in October for the Smackdown on FOX season two Premiere.
“Oh, I would say that that is one of the most mild understatements that I’ve ever heard,” Goldberg said when asked about unfinished business. “He backed out on me at WrestleMania, he stole my move, God knows how long ago, and he continues to perform it at subpar levels.
“Let’s be perfectly honest, I’m the dude who delivers the Spear and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him. So Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for you. I may be old, I may be grey, but I’m still Goldberg.”
“Thank you guys and girls, as always it’s a privilege, and who’s next? Roman’s next!” – Goldberg finished the interview with his signature warning.
Goldberg though hasn’t wrestled since giving away the WWE Universal Title to Strowman at Wrestlemania 36. However, he did reveal that he still has a contract with WWE till 2023, and he has two matches per year according to that contract. He has already used up that quota for 2020, which means we might see him returning for a match with Roman Reigns at the 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, or the WrestleMania 37 season.
Goldberg was one of the most popular professional wrestlers of the 1990s/early 2000s. He shot to fame with his undefeated streak in WCW between 1997 and 1998, and also became a became a one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, and one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Bret Hart, during his time with the promotion.
Apart from that, he is a former football player as well and has acted in various Hollywood movies like the Univeral Soldier: The Return (1999), Ready to Rumble (2000), Looney Toons: Back in Action (2003) and The Longest Yard (2005) among others.
