    Jake Paul Teases MMA Debut

    October 4, 2022

YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, has recently teased that he might soon be a part of the MMA as he is currently working with a big, but undisclosed, organisation to make that happen. Paul, who currently has an unbeaten record from 5 matches, is just a few weeks away from facing Anderson Silva.

Paul revealed this latest update on his podcast, revealing just a teaser, as a big announcement was coming soon. He said, “I’ve got an announcement coming soon – I can just tease that. I’m working with a big organization right now on a whole thing in MMA that also has to do with me fighting, and we’re going to have an announcement soon.”

The American explained that he would have to train for about a year, to acquire the necessary skills: “I want to do it, and Javier Mendez said he would train me. I’ll go to (American Kickboxing Academy). I probably need a year, year and a half, to get the kicks down. I already know jiu-jitsu. I want to be able to do everything in there – at least checking kicks. I know how to wrestle already.”

If there’s anything we know about Jake Paul at this point, it is that he cannot be underestimated. It felt like a joke when he said he was going to take on boxing, but with 5 wins to his name, regardless of the quality of the opponents, Paul has been able to prove that he has what it takes to continue with boxing, or any other sport.

Even though MMA and boxing might have different rules and tactics, they are both combat sport, and Paul might just be able to thrive, if he puts his mind to it. Spending almost two years training is supposed to equip him with skills needed for the octagon.

For now, there are other things for Paul to focus on, like facing Anderson Silver, a former UFC champion, on the 29th of October.
