Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has no concerns regarding Wolves travelling to Armenia just 72 hours before their opening Premier League fixture.
Nuno’s men face a trip to Armenia to take on FC Pyunik on Thursday in Europa League qualifying and then begin the domestic season with a trip to Leicester on Sunday.
Wolves are 21.00 to win the Europa League outright and 1.18 to win at Pyunik. The Wolves boss says his side’s full focus is on Thursday’s qualifier, and he has no issue with the lengthy trip ahead of the clash with Leicester.
“It’s the reality, it’s very far but it’s more important to prepare well,” he said. “We’re going to fly and try in the flight there and the return to make this time useful, trying to rush the recovery of the players. “It’s a challenge and we’ll embrace it by doing our best. We are not worried, we are ready to do it. It’s what we do.
“You have to decide game-by-game, play the game, think about the rest and then we’ll think about Leicester. “Pyunik did well in the previous round, we have been analysing them and we expect it to be tough. In football there are no favourites, we have to play the game.”
Wolves are 3.40 to win at Leicester on Sunday and 5.00 to secure a Premier League top six finish.
