Shut everyone up – Rio Ferdinand sends a message to Marcus Rashford

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand is hopeful that Red Devils striker Marcus Rashford will silence his critics in the upcoming season of the Premier League. The 24-year-old youngster had a ho-hum previous season for Manchester United as he could only score five goals in 32 matches for the club.

As a result, he lost his place in the starting XI to Anthony Elanga during the second leg of the Premier League. However, the youngster had an impressive run in the preseason and he will be determined to turn the tables.

Rashford scored two goals and provided one assist in five preseason matches as he played at the top of his game. Thus, Ferdinand, who played as a full-back for Manchester United, is hopeful that Rashford will be able to continue his good form.

“Marcus, shut these people up please. Shut everyone up, I don’t want to hear no chat from these people, I want you to come back, you’ve had a pre-season, you’ve got no injuries now, blast up the Premier League, please, I don’t want to hear no chat,” said Ferdinand on his Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE lie detector show.

He added: “This season he’s going to be happier, he’s had a pre-season, no injuries and there’s a manager here from what I’m seeing him talk about that he says you know what I’m believing him and what he’s saying. If them three things play out this season, Marcus Rashford will come good this season.”

Rashford has definitely shown the skills to go a long way in his career and he will look to prove his mettle in the upcoming season. There will be huge expectations from young players like Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Jadon Sancho and they will look to deliver the goods.

Manchester United will begin their 2022-23 campaign against Brighton on Saturday.
