Inter Milan were reduced to ten men in the second half when Nicolo Barella was sent off, Marco Asensio then scored the second goal of the game in the 79th minute.

Meanwhile, it was all drama as Atletico Madrid beat Porto 3-1 to secure a knockout stage spot at the Estadio De Dragao in Portugal.

The first half had ended goalles with Atletico Madrid losing Luis Suarez to injury early in the first half. However, Antoine Griezmann in the 56th minute scored the opener before a series of drama saw both sides having a player sent off each.

Yannick Carrasco was the first to be sent off before Wendell was shown a straight red card. Three more goals followed in the 90th minute as Angel Correa and Rodrigo De Paul, while Sergio Oliveira scored the consolation goal for Porto.

Subsequently, Atletico Madrid have qualified for the next round of the competition while Porto drops to the Europa League.
