    Pukki Delighted With Euro Qualification With Finland

    Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has revealed his emotions aftermath his role on Friday night as his two goals was instrumental as Finland qualified for a major tournament in their history after they secured a place at the European Championships in 2020

    The Canaries striker was in top form for his Country Finland scoring a brace on the night on Friday, despite not having scored in the last six English Premier League for Daniel Farke’s as they languish in relegation waters.

    He scored two second-half goals, one from the penalty spot in the 64th minute and another eleven minutes later before he was substituted after a knock.

    The striker was a pivotal part of the Canaries promotion race which ended in a winning the English Championship Division, which he admitted to being a special part of his football career but revealed that sealing Euro 2020 Qualification is a Unique feat that has moved him to the next level in his career.

    “I am very proud of what we have achieved. Playing in the national team was my first dream, but I never dreamed this would happen.” Pukki said.

    He also explained that this was something every Finnish football fan has been looking forward to and that on a personal level even his promotion to the Premier League with Norwich City last season is not as big as the recent feat with the national team

    The Finn has now scored a dozen goals in seventeen games for country and club this season.

    Finland thrashed Liechtenstein in the capital city, Helsinki, by 3-0, and all focus was on Pukki after the game where fans couldn’t limit their excitement to the stands as they invaded the pitch after the final whistle in celebration of the country’s first appearance at a major football event.

    While Italy topped Group J, Finland secured Qualification after ensuring they would not finish the Qualifiers any lower than second place in the group that also has Greece, Armenia and Bosnia, and Herzegovina.

    However, the Finns will face Greece on Monday evening in a dead rubber.

    Finland are priced at 3.98 to win Greece, while Greece are highly favoured at 1.95 to defeat Finland.
