Norwich City Offer Two Youth Team Players Professional Contract

    October 18, 2019

The duo of Tom Dickson-Peters and Tyrese Omotoye have both been offered a professional contract by the Canaries after showing impressive performances for the U18s.

Tyrese Omotoye and Tom Dickson-Peters some of the biggest attacking prospects as they regularly feature for Paul Williams’ side.

Meanwhile, Dickson-Peters, who is a Scottish youth international, has played for the Canaries this season in the EFL Trophy.

Both attacking players would want to emulate Canaries senior side first-teamers like Todd Cantwell, Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey, and Max Aarons, who all made the big step from the youth team into the Premier League.

Tyrese Omotoye, in his interview with the club’s Official Website, disclosed that he derives inspiration from players in the first team whenever he sees them on the training pitch.

“Players like Todd, Max, and Ben, it really gives you hope and lets you know you might end up playing there,” he said

For Dickson-Peters, it’s been a tremendous season for the Scottish youngster experiencing a good run of form for club and country. He featured for the Canaries in their 2-1 loss to Oxford United in the EFL Cup and also got called up for international youth games for Scotland.

According to the Berkshire-bred player who has been part of Scotland youth team set up since the U17 level disclosed that it was an honor to be given an opportunity to be with the first team.

“I’m honored to be given a chance to sign the contract. It’s great to see all the players in the first team coming in from the academy, as a young player it’s inspiring” said the 17-year-old.

Norwich will face AFC Bournemouth in their next EPL fixture. Norwich are backed at 4.33 to defeat Bournemouth, while Bournemouth are available at 1.76.
