Mohamed Salah Makes Premier League History with Record-Breaking Left-Footed Goals

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has set a new record in the Premier League after scoring his 106th and 107th goals with his left foot during Liverpool’s 6-1 victory over Leeds United on April 17. Salah’s first-half strike was his 106th left-footed goal in the Premier League, which set a new record. His second goal, in the 64th minute, extended that record to 107 left-footed goals.

The Egyptian international is now the player with the most left-footed goals in the history of the Premier League. Salah’s impressive record extends to 135 goals in 223 Premier League matches. He has scored a total of 182 goals for Liverpool in 297 games since joining the club in 2017.

Liverpool dominated the game against Leeds, with Salah’s brace and two goals from Diogo Jota helping the Reds secure a comprehensive victory. Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez also got on the scoresheet for Liverpool. Luis Sinisterra scored Leeds’ only goal of the night.

The win against Leeds was a much-needed boost for Liverpool, who had been on a five-game winless streak in all competitions. Jurgen Klopp’s side is currently in eighth place in the Premier League table with 47 points after 30 matches.

Salah’s record-breaking performance came just days after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal, in which the Egyptian missed a penalty but also scored a goal. Salah claimed that Liverpool dominated the game against Arsenal and that the team’s performance should serve as a spark for the remainder of the season.

With Salah’s impressive form, Liverpool will be hoping to continue their winning ways as they look to finish the season strong and secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
