Juventus reach agreement for Bremer with Torino

    July 20, 2022

It appears Juventus are one step ahead of Inter Milan in the pursuit of Gleison Bremer.

Gianluca Di Marzio have revealed that Bianconerri have agreed on a deal for the center-back with Torino and now must agree to personal terms with the player.

The Bianconeri appears to have sped up the process after the exit of  Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich for €80m.

They will need to replace the Dutch defender. Thus they have been on the hunt for a new centre-back, and one of the most intriguing targets was Bremer.

The Brazilian defender, who was one of the stars of last season, seemed set for a move to Inter, but the Nerazzurri failed to finalise the transfer.

According to Di Marzio, Juventus have agreed to pay Torino €40m plus €7m in add-ons for Bremer, significantly outbidding the long-interested Inter.

All that is now left is for the Bianconeri to work and find an agreement with the 25-year-old, who had already agreed to personal terms with Inter.

Being one of the best defenders in the Serie A last season, it is not a surprise to see the Brazilian centre-back on the wishlists of the top clubs.

Bremer made 33 league appearances last season and played 2893 minutes of football. He also scored three goals, provided one assist, and shone defensively.

Meanwhile, Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich have announced the arrival of de Ligt.

The Bavarian giants have finally have their top target, having been in talks with the Bianconeri for a number of weeks.

It was gathered that the sale of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona last week finally gave them the required resources to close out a deal.

Bayern revealed that De Ligt signed a five-year contract in a deal worth around €67m plus €10m in add-ons.

During his stints with the Bianconerri, De Ligt made 117 appearances across all competitions. He was part of the squad that won a Scudetto, a Coppa Italia, and a Supercoppa Italiana.

He will be a top addition to Bayern, having gathered a lot of experience from veteran defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.
