Immobile’s goal takes Lazio to Coppa Italia quarter-finals

 

Lazio’s top scorer, Ciro Immobile, has guided the team into the last eight of the Coppa Italia, courtesy of his extra-time strike against Udinese.

Thus, Maurizio Sarri’s team will face Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-final.

After playing 4-4 during their last meeting in Serie A, many were expecting a flurry of goals but were disappointed not to witness one during regulation time.

In the match in which both sides made some changes, Udinese threatened first through a free-kick, which grazed the boot of Isaac Success in front of goal.

Lazio was also closer to opening the scoring chat when they went even closer from a set play with Vedat Muriqi’s header parried.

Meanwhile, Juventus also beat Sampdoria 4-1 in their own Coppa Italia game. Juan Cuadrado, Daniel Rugani, Paulo Dybala, and Alvaro Morata all scored for Juventus.
