But the midfielder himself has rubbished all the links during his interaction with Ziggosport. He instead shared how he has Barcelona in his heart.
“I love being at Barcelona! I’d probably sign a six-year contract extension if they’d propose me, yes. Something happening with FC Bayern? No, no. I am so happy at Barcelona and I would love to play here for as long as possible.”
The FC Barcelona faithful would love to see someone as talented as De Jong signing a long term contract. The Dutchman has all the qualities to replace Sergio Busquets in long term and his leadership skills are also not unheard of so Xavi can gradually pass on the armband to De Jong securing the future at Camp Nou.
