FIFA Started the Second Sale of Tickets for the 2022 World Cup

    March 24, 2022

Fans around the planet are running after their tickets to be able to accompany their favorite teams in the World Cup that will be held in Qatar between November 21 and December 18.

The first phase of ticket sales closed on February 8; now, FIFA has opened a sales window by order of request that will last only six days.

“As this is a sell-by-order period, fans will be able to complete their purchase immediately and should hurry to avoid any unpleasant surprises. This is the last chance for fans to get tickets before the final draw,” FIFA spokesmen clarified.

These new tickets for the World Cup can now be purchased through the FIFA.com/tickets site, and this window will be open until March 29 at 11:00 CET.

During the first phase of sales, 17 million requests were registered, and almost 2 million of those requests were made for the final, which is planned to take place on December 18 at Lusail Stadium.

With just over 2 million tickets available for all World Cup matches, FIFA will be filtering through the ticketing process to ensure tickets are available.

Currently the countries from which more requests to buy tickets have come are Argentina, Brazil, England, France, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

On this window the following types of tickets will be available:

Individual tickets: these are seats for a specific match, available for all matches, except the opening match and the grand final.

Team Pass: for those who want to follow a team throughout the World Cup, starting from their debut in the group stage.

Ticket for four stadiums: FIFA offers to experience the atmosphere of four different stadiums on consecutive days, appealing to the short distance between the various venues in Qatar.

Accessibility tickets: these are tickets available in any of the above items and are intended for people with disabilities and reduced mobility, who will be given access to adapted spaces.

Once the tickets have been designated and duly paid for, fans will have the opportunity to reserve accommodation and request the “Hayya card”. FIFA said that this identification “will serve as an entry permit to Qatar for international fans traveling to the tournament,” FIFA said. “All spectators, regardless of whether they are residents of Qatar or foreigners, will need the Hayya card along with the match ticket to access the stadium,” FIFA warned.
