You all think I am a six-year old veteran in the league – Kevin Durant hits out at his critics

    June 26, 2022

Kevin Durant’s supremacy was questioned by basketball pundits after Golden State Warriors won the championship. Durant left the Dubs back in 2019 and since then he hasn’t been able to go all the way in the NBA. It is well known that Durant is one of the best players of the current era and he has always played a big role in the success of his team.

Meanwhile, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley had recently taken a dig at Durant. Barkley said while talking to ESPN that Durant needs to win the championship as the leader of the team to prove his mettle.

On “The ETCs with KD,” Durant said, “That’s why I be feeling like y’all just be hating on a god. What have I done for you to want to discredit everything? I put in a lot of work for this game. I been at it for 15, 16 years. You’ll think I’m a six-year veteran in the league the way people talk about me. Like I ain’t did s**t before I went to Golden State.

“I know a lot of y’all ain’t watch OKC games unless they were prime time, but like, go do your research, fam,” he continued. “I have been this, like I’ve been at this level. I had shoes, I had MVPs before I met these guys. And we did something special together, but don’t try to take away from what I’ve done, bro.”

Meanwhile, before joining Golden State Warriors in 2017, Durant played for Oklahoma City Thunder but he could not win a championship with the team despite many attempts. However, Durant won the championship with GSW as they defeated Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017 and 2018 and these are his only two NBA titles

On the other hand, Kevin Durant has an impressive average of 27.2 in his glorious career. Furthermore, Durant was in fine form in the recently concluded season of the NBA as he averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 55 games. But he could not lead Brooklyn Nets all the way as the team lost to Boston Celtics in the first round of the Playoffs by 4-0.
