NBA Analyst Tim MacMahon criticizes Russell Westbrook for his ridiculous injury excuses

The new NBA season has brought joy to many teams but the fate has been the same for the Los Angeles Lakers as they have lost their first three games and are currently winless. They recently lost a tight game against the Portland Trail Blazers and once again the fans were furious as the Purple and Gold army had the lead for most of the game but they just gave it away when it mattered, resulting in their third consecutive defeat.

Russell Westbrook had another stinker as he dropped only 10 points and had six assists and six boards. Over the years he has given several excuses for his injuries which have been very bizarre and now when the performances are not coming, Westbrook is getting grilled by the fans. Recently NBA Analyst Tim MacMahon feels that Westbrook has had some of the most ridiculous excuses for his injuries.

On “The Hoop Collective” episode, MacMahon spoke about Westbrook’s recent bizarre statements. The Lakers point guard blamed a change of routine for his injury and MacMahon feels its lame and baseless.

“The most interesting post-game press conference was Russ saying that his hammy acted up because he’s not used to coming off the bench. Remember his back tightened up here because he isn’t used to sitting so much in the fourth quarter like he did. Early in the game, it’s his hamstring, late in the game it’s his back. I’m just wondering how in the hell has Russell Westbrook survived so many halftimes in his NBA career,” NBA Analyst highlighted as he never understood how the leading triple double star has survived so many NBA halftimes.

“What, is he like just you know jumping in a vat of icy hot during halftime or running on a treadmill? What in the hell kind of passive-aggressive ridiculous crap is this?”

Many people believe that Russell Westbrook’s comments were a dig at Lakers coach Darwin ham for not giving him a starting role. There has been a constant debate whether Russell Westbrook should lead the Lakers second unit or not. But the former Wizards point guard wants to be on the court as regularly as possible.

The Lakers cannot simply buy a win right now as they are struggling with their shooting and players like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Patrick Beverley, etc have to step up and take commanding roles or else they will just keep on losing games. The Los Angeles lakers next face the Denver Nuggets as they will travel to the Ball Arena with the intention of winning their first game of this season.
