Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra showers praise on Jimmy Butler after his historic 56-point performance against Milwaukee

Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler scripted history as he took over Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs. It was one of the best-ever playoff performances from a player. Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was delighted for the main man.

The Heat trailed the game for the majority but they made the comeback right when it mattered. Butler played a massive role in it as he finished the game with 56 points, nine boards and two assists. His exceptional scoring in the fourth quarter helped the Heat win 119-114.

Butler single-handedly turned the outcome of the match as he slammed 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Heat head coach Spoelstra feels that Butler is extremely intelligent and his basketball IQ is among the best in the league. He highlights how most players would struggle to figure out what needs to be done at either end when they are on the floor but Butler has everything chalked out in his head.

“He’s highly intelligent. He’s one of the most intelligent basketball players in this association. You can’t do what he does on both ends of the court just by running around and trying to figure things out. He understands what we’re trying to do and he understands what they’re trying to do,” Spoelstra stated about his superstar.

Spoelstra also pointed out the quality of the opposition against whom Butler dropped a 56-point game. The Bucks finished at the top of the Eastern Conference and simply had no excuse. Their star player Giannis Antetokounmpo was available but yet Butler simply rose above the rest and won it for his team.

Courtesy of this win, the Heat are now 3-1 up in the first round and will be looking to finish it off in Game 5.

The Miami Heat have definitely taken advantage of the situation with Anteotkounmpo, who was injured and hence they had it relatively easy against the Bucks. But on his return, he would have liked to guide his team to a win and level the series. But Butler denied that opportunity with a historic performance and now suddenly the Heat are massive favourites to progress to the next round of the playoffs.

Antetokounmpo had a decent comeback night with a triple-double. He scored 26 points along with 13 assists and 10 rebounds. But Brook Lopez top-scored for the Bucks with 36 points and 11 boards. But still, it was not enough as the Heat edged past them in Game 4.
