Earlier Morant was suspended indefinitely by Grizzlies as they wanted to set a precedent on stricting opposing gun violence as a franchise. But later NBA suspended him for eight games “for conduct detrimental to the league.” He has already completed five-game suspension and will soon be back in action.

Morant may make comeback on March 20 when the Grizzlies take on Dallas Mavericks but he may need some time for conditioning aswell. Hence he may be gradually introduced into action.
